When the creation of this amp started, there was one simple goal; make an amp with thick lows and clear singing highs, along with mids ranging from punchy, to scooped. This amp excels at all those tasks, as well as offering dual-voicing on the 2nd channel, as well as tube-driven spring reverb and vibrato.

That amp sounded so good that only one logical solution remained; add preamp boost and dual-voicing to create the Avalon of tone. Select between Jazz, or Rock voicing on the 40 Watt Blues Special’s Vibrato channel as well as engaging the preamp boost by pulling out on the Vibrato channel’s “Treble” knob.
